SNOOZYBABY was created by two parents in the middle of the four month sleep regression.

Driven by the desire to help parents provide the best sleep environment for their little ones, we embarked on a mission to develop a transition suit alternative that would not only soothe the startle reflex but also promote a more restful sleep for babies (and for parents!)

A transition swaddle is designed to help babies move from a traditional arms-in swaddle to arms-free sleep. It provides gentle comfort and security while allowing gradual freedom of movement as your baby develops.

A transitional sleep sack is designed to help babies move out of swaddling, while a regular sleep sack is simply a wearable blanket for babies who are already sleeping safely with their arms fully free.

Yes - a transitional swaddle can be safe for newborns when used correctly, as long as it fits properly, isn’t too loose, and follows safe sleep guidelines. See our full safety tips for more information.

Start using a transitional sleep sack when your baby begins showing signs of rolling, breaking out of the swaddle, or needing their arms free for safer sleep, generally around 3 months of age. Check our sleeping transition guide for a full breakdown.

Until they show signs of rolling, can roll over, or start seeming fussy and trying to break free at that point, swaddling should stop and a safer arms-out sleep option should be used.
