At SNOOZYBABY, we prioritise the safety and well-being of your baby above all else. Our SNOOZYBABY Sleepsuit is designed to provide a secure and comfortable sleep environment while adhering to safety standards.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for your little one, please follow these safety guidelines:

1. Follow the recommended 6 steps to safe sleep by Red Nose

  • Always place baby on their back to sleep
  • Keep baby’s face and head uncovered
  • Keep baby smoke free, before and after birth
  • Safe sleeping environment, night and day
  • Sleep baby in their own safe space in the same room as their parent/caregiver for min. the first 6 months
  • Breastfeed baby

2. Ensure the right fit

When the SNOOZYBABY Sleepsuit fits correctly, it offers the snug, secure sensation of a swaddle.

See our ‘USAGE GUIDELINES’ for more information.

3. Avoid Overheating

Dress your baby appropriately for the room temperature or adjust the room temperature according to the sleepsuit TOG. Like with any baby sleep product, it is up to parents to monitor the baby in the Sleepsuit and make sure the baby's room is at the recommended temperature for babies. The best way to gauge body temperature is to place your hand on their stomach or back. If they feel hot and sweaty, remove a layer of clothing or remove them from the Sleepsuit.

4. Monitor Your Baby

Keep an eye on your baby when they are wearing the SNOOZYBABY Sleepsuit during the initial uses to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

5. Consult Your Paediatrician

If your baby has any medical conditions or unique needs, consult your paediatrician or healthcare provider before using the SNOOZYBABY Sleepsuit.

6. Be Mindful of Rolling Over

Once your baby starts showing signs of wanting to roll over whilst wearing the Sleepsuit, it's time to transition them out of the suit and into an arm out sleeping bag.

7. Avoid Use with Loose Objects

Do not use the Sleepsuit in conjunction with loose objects, such as loose blankets or stuffed animals, inside the cot.

8. Trust Your Parental Instincts

Always trust your instincts as a parent or caregiver. If you have any concerns or questions about the SNOOZYBABY Sleepsuit's safety or usage, reach out to our customer support team or consult your healthcare provider.

9. How We're Tested

We don't just tell you the Sleepsuit is safe - we show our work. Snoozybaby Swaddle Transition Suits go through independent testing before it reaches you:

  • Independently tested by AWTA (Australian Wool Testing Authority) for physical, safety and TOG (thermal rating) testing
  • Assessed against the relevant Australian children's nightwear requirements (AS/NZS 1249:2014)
  • Created with guidance from INPAA (Infant & Nursery Products Alliance of Australia)
  • Zip is Oeko-Tex® certified, with the zip puller separately tested to AS 2332-2003
  • Fabric tested for azo dyes and formaldehyde by our supplier, with independent laboratory verification
